Please be advised of potential traffic impacts due to the Special Olympics Torch Run on Monday, June 1, 2026, from approximately 3:45 - 4:45 PM.

Culver City Police Department personnel will help carry the torch on its way to the 2026 Summer Games in Long Beach. The runners, joined by Special Olympics athletes and representatives, will receive the torch from the LAPD Pacific Division at the Culver City Police Department Headquarters on Duquesne Avenue and complete a nearly 3-mile run heading southbound Duquesne Avenue to westbound Jefferson Boulevard, northbound Overland Avenue, eastbound Culver Boulevard, southbound Duquesne Avenue, finishing at the Culver City Police Department. Light traffic impacts are anticipated.

We encourage commuters to plan, use alternate routes, and allow extra travel time. Please cheer on the Culver City Police Department as they carry the Special Olympics Torch, known as the Flame of Hope, through the city in support of our local athletes.

First established in 1981, the Law Enforcement Torch Run helps raise awareness and funds for the Special Olympics. Law enforcement members and Special Olympics athletes carry the Flame of Hope to the Opening Ceremony.
